About Zuora
At Zuora, we help businesses grow smarter and adapt faster. Our platform powers modern business models — from subscriptions and usage-based pricing to AI-driven and outcome-based offerings — helping companies launch new products, automate complex billing, and unlock predictable, recurring revenue.
We’ve led the Subscription Economy for more than a decade. Now we’re evolving again by building the definitive platform for quote to cash and helping companies monetize their products and services with an adaptable, AI-ready foundation.
The Opportunity
Zuora’s Technical Account Managers are changing what post-sales looks like. We don’t work from a ticket queue or manage relationships from a distance. We embed with our customers, build solutions alongside them, and own the outcome end to end.
As a Technical Account Manager focused on Zuora Revenue, you’ll be the person our enterprise customers rely on to get revenue right. You’ll help them automate revenue recognition under ASC 606 and IFRS 15, close their books faster and with confidence, and make sure what Zuora Revenue reports ties out to billing and the general ledger. You’ll build AI-assisted proofs of concept (POCs) that show customers what’s possible in days, not months, and you’ll drive the adoption and measurable results that keep customers growing with us.
You’ll own a focused portfolio of enterprise accounts and work as part of a small team, stepping in on teammates’ accounts when your expertise is needed. You’ll partner directly with customers’ controllers, revenue accountants, finance systems and IT teams across the US and around the world.
We’re moving fast. AI has changed what this job can be: routine work like status reports, reconciliations prep, documentation and first-pass research is increasingly automated, so your time goes to judgment, building, and solving the problems that matter most to the customer.
You don’t need to know Zuora already. Whether you’re an accountant who wants to get more technical, or a technologist who wants to learn finance, we’ll teach you the product and the revenue side. What we need is the drive to learn fast and the care to get the numbers right.
What you’ll own
Customer outcomes. Own the technical health, adoption and business results of your accounts. Know what success means to each customer in their own terms, such as a faster close, fewer manual journal entries, clean audits or a new pricing model recognized correctly, and drive toward it.
Revenue recognition solutions. Help customers apply Zuora Revenue to ASC 606 / IFRS 15: contracts and performance obligations, allocation, modifications, recognition schedules and reporting. Translate the accounting policy a customer’s team describes into a working design.
Revenue close and reconciliation. Help customers run a clean revenue close. Reconcile Zuora Revenue with billing and the general ledger, trace variances to their source, and fix problems at the root instead of handing them off.
The bigger picture. Look beyond Zuora Revenue to the whole revenue chain. Understand how upstream systems (CRM, CPQ, billing, contracts) shape the data that arrives in Zuora Revenue, and how what leaves it affects downstream systems like the ERP, general ledger and reporting. Spot problems where they start, not where they show up.
Integration design. Advise customers on how data and information flows into and out of Zuora Revenue: in from billing, CRM and other upstream systems, and out to their ERP, general ledger and other finance systems. Recommend best practices for each flow. Customers own their code, so you design and guide the approach.
AI-assisted proofs of concept. Use AI tools to build working POCs and data analyses that show value to customers quickly, then turn what works into lasting solutions.
Closing the loop. When an issue needs Product, Engineering or Support, you stay accountable: you bring in the right people, push for resolution and keep the customer informed. You turn what you learn into product feedback that shapes Zuora’s roadmap.
Customer AI adoption. Help customers adopt AI in their own finance and revenue workflows, including how Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and AI agents connect to SaaS platforms like Zuora.
Raising the bar. Share the AI workflows, POCs and patterns you build so the whole team moves faster. Coach teammates on AI and new ways of working, and learn Zuora from them in return.
What success looks like
First 30 days: Get certified in a Zuora product area.

About You
What we’re looking for
Must-haves
Experience: A strong track record in SaaS or enterprise software, in roles like implementation, solution consulting, solution architecture, technical support or technical account management, or on the finance and revenue side of such environments (shared services, revenue operations, finance systems), where you’ve led complex, customer-facing work such as solution design, process design or system integrations.
Fast learner: You’ve picked up new platforms, products or subject areas quickly and can show how. If you bring the drive, we’ll teach you Zuora and the revenue side.
Comfort with financial concepts and numbers: You’re at ease working with ledgers, schedules, reconciliations and large data sets, and you can explain what the numbers mean. You don’t need to be a certified accountant.
Builder mindset: You’d rather prototype a solution than write a slide about one, and you can point to things you’ve built or automated.
AI fluency: You use AI tools in your daily work to move faster on prototyping, POCs, data analysis and solution design, and you can show examples. You understand MCPs and how they apply in SaaS.
Working with data and systems: You’ve used SQL, scripts or similar tools to analyze data, and you understand how data and information move between systems, or you’re ready to pick it up fast.
Customer focus: You understand how a customer’s business works and tie your work to their results, not just their tickets. You can explain complex accounting or technical topics clearly to finance and IT teams.
Ownership: You take full accountability for results and close the loop on what you start.
Attention to detail: Customers trust your numbers, your designs and your commitments.
Executive presence: You’re comfortable leading conversations with executives and technical teams alike.
Comfort with ambiguity: You make progress without perfect information and create structure where none exists.
Nice-to-haves
We see two strong paths into this role. You don’t need both.
If you come from accounting or finance: A degree in accounting, finance or a related field, or experience in revenue accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, shared services finance or revenue operations. Knowledge of ASC 606 / IFRS 15, or progress toward a certification such as CPA or ACCA.
If you come from technology: Experience in implementation, consulting, finance systems or ERP support, or technical support for SaaS or enterprise software, with an interest in learning finance. Working knowledge of SQL, how systems connect and exchange data, and data modeling.
Also valuable on either path:
Experience with Zuora (Revenue / RevPro, Billing, Workflow) or other billing, revenue recognition or quote-to-cash systems.
Familiarity with the ecosystem around Zuora, such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday and Salesforce.
About the Team
How you’ll work
AI-first. You’ll use tools like Claude Code, Cowork and Cursor every day to prototype, build POCs, analyze data, draft solution designs and automate routine work, moving fast while staying accurate.
Forward deployed. You’ll work inside the customer’s world: their systems, their data and their business.
Hands-on. Expect to work with data in SQL, design workflows that connect revenue to billing, ERP and other finance systems, and create AI-assisted POCs.
Accurate by design. The numbers you work on end up in customers’ financial statements. You check your work, and you build checks into the solutions you design.
Comfortable with ambiguity. Priorities shift and requirements are often unclear. You create structure, make progress and adjust as you learn.
Why this role
Work directly with US and global enterprise customers and own real outcomes, not a ticket queue.
Move from running revenue processes to advising the finance teams of enterprise companies on how to automate them.
Join an AI-first team that’s redefining what post-sales looks like.
Build things customers can see and use, and guide how they integrate Zuora into their systems.
Grow into architecture and leadership work, and help shape how the TAM role evolves at Zuora.
