The Warehouse Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and maintaining warehouse quality standards, processes, and best practices while supporting the Warehouse Manager and supervising warehouse team members. Quality Control is the process of monitoring operations to ensure work is completed accurately, consistently, and according to established standards. This position focuses on identifying errors, preventing repeat issues, maintaining operational discipline, and ensuring established controls are consistently followed throughout the distribution center.
The Warehouse Quality Supervisor will maintain a strong presence on the warehouse floor, monitor operational processes, identify conditions that could lead to errors, investigate quality issues, and develop initiatives to improve accuracy and process compliance. This position will also mentor and coach the warehouse team through training and meetings focused on process control, error reduction, and operational best practices.
The schedule for this position is Sunday** through Thursday from 6:00pm to Finish**.
You Will:
Oversee and monitor quality throughout daily warehouse operations, including pallet labeling, pallet staging, pallet loading, floor organization, inventory, picking, shipping, receiving, and other warehouse processes.
Verify that established operational controls and procedures are consistently followed using the Warehouse Management System (WMS), RF scanners, and other available tools.
Maintain a strong presence on the warehouse floor and routinely observe operations to identify process gaps, errors, and opportunities for improvement.
Conduct routine quality audits and inspections to verify accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established standards.
Monitor pallet labeling, staging, loading, and floor organization to ensure products are properly identified, handled, positioned, and prepared for shipment.
Identify potential conditions or process breakdowns that could result in errors and take proactive steps to prevent them.
Investigate quality issues and errors, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat occurrences.
Connect operational activity with S2K system data, reports, and investigative findings to identify trends and determine the source of errors.
Develop and implement quality initiatives based on direct observation, operational experience, data analysis, and recurring quality issues.
Work closely with Warehouse Management to establish and maintain quality goals, performance standards, controls, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates on proper processes, quality expectations, system controls, and company best practices.
Conduct team meetings and training sessions focused on process control, error reduction, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.
Partner with warehouse supervisors and managers to ensure associates understand and consistently follow established procedures.
Follow up on corrective actions and conduct audits to verify that improvements are effective and sustained.
Analyze quality and operational data to identify trends, recurring errors, and opportunities for improvement.
Communicate quality findings and recommendations to management through clear, professional emails supported by operational data and investigative findings.
Maintain strong working relationships with warehouse, transportation, inventory, customer service, and supply chain teams.
Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve accuracy, productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Assist with new process implementations, system changes, integrations, and other operational projects.
Identify potential safety, product-handling, and operational risks and escalate or correct them as appropriate.
Provide regular feedback to management regarding quality performance, operational concerns, recurring errors, and improvement opportunities.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
You Have:
3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, quality control, inventory control, or distribution, preferably in a distribution center environment.
Previous supervisory, leadership, or quality-related experience preferred.
Strong understanding of warehouse processes, including pallet labeling, staging, loading, picking, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and floor organization.
Ability to understand warehouse operations and recognize conditions that may lead to errors or process failures.
Experience conducting audits, identifying process deficiencies, investigating errors, and implementing corrective actions.
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect operational processes with system data, reports, and investigations.
Ability to use operational data to identify trends, determine root causes, and develop effective improvement initiatives.
Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and employee engagement skills.
Ability to mentor and develop associates through hands-on coaching, training, and team meetings.
Effective written communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional emails based on operational data and investigative findings.
Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience developing and implementing process improvements and standard operating procedures.
Working knowledge of applicable safety and regulatory requirements related to warehouse operations.
Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and make sound operational decisions.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
