Our 114,000 sq ft Chatsworth facility in Los Angeles specializes in electronic and electro-mechanical aerospace products, supporting critical systems including airborne radar, cabin and cockpit lighting, flight controls, engine and environmental controls and pilot controls.

The opportunity
As Quality Manager at Ontic, you'll lead the people, systems and activities that help ensure our products, processes and repair operations consistently meet customer, regulatory and company requirements.
Reporting to the Director of Quality, you'll have an important role in maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of our Quality System while building a strong culture of quality and compliance across the site. You'll oversee a broad range of Quality activities, including inspection, Material Review Board activity, quality planning, audits and corrective action.
You'll also act as a key interface with customers and regulatory bodies, helping ensure the site remains ready for surveillance and that requirements are effectively translated into our products and processes.
Just as importantly, you'll lead and develop the Quality team itself.
Through clear expectations, coaching and capability development, you'll help your people succeed while using performance data and structured problem solving to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing
Lead and coordinate site Quality activities across new, overhauled and production products, including inspection, quality planning, First Article Inspection and root cause and corrective action.
Maintain the effectiveness and integrity of the Quality System, including applicable quality manuals, procedures and guidance.
Lead Source and Receiving Inspection, return material investigations, Material Review Board quality analysis and Quality support for Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul activities.
Ensure customer, licensor, regulatory and government quality requirements are effectively implemented and maintained across products and processes.
Support internal and external audits and maintain site readiness for customer and regulatory surveillance.
Monitor Quality performance measures, including cost of poor quality and process turnaround times, using trends and data to prioritise improvement activity.
Lead and develop your team through clear objectives, performance management, coaching and capability development.
What you'll bring
10+ years of Quality experience within an aerospace, electronics or manufacturing environment, including leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of CFR 21, CFR 145, AS9100 and AS9110 requirements, along with applicable customer and government quality requirements.
Experience managing Quality Systems and activities including inspections, Material Review Board, return material, First Article Inspection and corrective action.
Experience leading customer, regulatory and internal audits and maintaining organisational audit readiness.
Demonstrated capability in structured problem solving and root cause analysis.
Strong communication, influencing, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills, together with experience coaching and developing Quality professionals.
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience; relevant industry Quality certifications would be advantageous.

Compensation Pay Range
$145,000 - $165,000/year, based on experience
