We are looking for our next Operations/Maintenance Senior Manager within POLYOX™ operations. The Operations/Maintenance Senior Manager reports to the Plant Manager and leads the plant’s operations and maintenance teams. The position provides leadership and experience in the daily execution of operations within the facility ensuring that it is adequately supported by the maintenance organization. This position is located at our Institute, WV facility.
Compensation:
The current salary range for this role is estimated to be 118,881.00 - 178,322.00 USD Annual. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation. The specific compensation offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
What You’ll Do:
· Responsible for safe and reliable operations in maintenance and operations but supports safety throughout the entire facility.
· Provides technology-based leadership for the development and execution of plant specific goals and action plans with the various work teams in the implementation of the business strategy and goals.
Ø Focuses on asset and technology related strategies and goals
Ø Focuses on performance of ops and maint teams/individuals in regards to technical competencies
· Provides leadership and monitoring for technical performance of personnel and work teams. Enhances performance through coaching, training gap analysis and communication of expectations.
· Responsible for the coordination, integration and interaction with Mfg Technology, capital, and improvement functions and translating into plant specific goals and KPIs.
· Responsible for establishing, developing and coaching of technical performance expectations of plant engineers, technicians and operators.
· Mentors and coaches operations and maintenance personnel.
· Provides daily leadership for the monitoring of plant performance versus the production plans, plant performance indices and quality criteria. Leads effective problem resolution with appropriate teams to close gaps in performance.
· Ensures that maintenance and operations teams function as Highly Reliable organizations and have a culture of “eliminating unplanned events”
· As part of training team, monitors individual training progress and ensures expectations are understood and complied with. Participates in assessments and identifies requirements and skills that are needed to complete TRB assessments.
· Contributes to an environment that fosters team and individual empowerment. Models expected behaviors for an empowered organization.
· Provides leadership to ensure that all areas within the daily operation of the plant work effectively with other groups within the facility (i.e. EHS, distribution, logistics, etc.) work together effectively
· Ensures major shutdowns are properly planned and executed through various plant teams.
· Coordinates & Leads RCI’s as needed
· Works with CapEx group to maintain and prioritize Project List – Expense & Capital (Aggregate)
· Works with Process Automation Engineer and other team members to Prioritize Process Automation work
· Interfaces with Process Safety Focal Point to make sure PSNM’s and non-injury pSIFs are identified, investigated, and resolved
· Housekeeping – sets the standard along with the Site Director
· Leads plant teams as appropriate
· Coordinates RC/PHA and Tech Center Audits within the facility
· Assists Production Engineers and Production Specialist to coach operating technicians in all aspects of the facility (HSE, Quality, culture, ethics, trouble-shooting, etc.).
· Ensures that plant maintenance resources are allocated properly to support all needs within the facility.
· Serves as focal point for coordinating work with the Site host, and other tenants as needed
· Provides Performance management duties for operations and maintenance teams.
What You’ll Need:
Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in a technical discipline (Chemical or Mechanical preferred)
Experience:
10+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
2+ years of Supervisory or Performance Management of a team
2+ years in a Pharma industrial setting is preferred
Computer and technical literacy; demonstrated skill in use of Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel).
Physical Demands
Willing and able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Willing and able to climb stairs and ladders, stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crawl as needed
Willing and able to wear required PPE such as steel toe shoes, hardhat, ear/eye protection, Nomex® clothing, etc.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.

Work Environment
· This is a full-time salaried position that requires office work along with working in outdoor and industrial environments
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
· This is a full-time position. Days and flexible hours of work are required to meet facility demands. At times, may include having to work weekends
Business Travel:
· Some, to limited, business travel is expected in this position
