Your Role
The DevOps Engineer will design, implement, operate, and continuously improve secure and reliable software delivery platforms for engineering teams. The role owns end-to-end CI/CD automation, Git and GitHub-based development workflows, build and release tooling, containerized execution environments, infrastructure scripting, and operational monitoring. The engineer will partner with software developers, verification teams, security stakeholders, and platform teams to reduce delivery lead time, improve build quality, increase deployment repeatability, and resolve complex pipeline or infrastructure issues. Success requires strong hands-on engineering skills, disciplined troubleshooting, clear documentation, and the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural, multi-team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, maintain, and optimize Jenkins scripted and declarative pipelines, including reusable libraries, parameterized jobs, parallel stages, artifact handling, quality gates, approvals, notifications, and failure recovery.
Own Git and GitHub workflows, including repository setup, branching strategies, pull requests, code review policies, protected branches, CODEOWNERS, release tags, semantic versioning, and repository permissions in an enterprise environment.
Create and maintain GitHub Actions workflows for continuous integration, validation, security scanning, artifact publishing, scheduled automation, and integration with Jenkins or external enterprise services where required.
Automate build, test, packaging, release, and deployment activities using Python, Linux shell scripting, YAML, JSON, and REST APIs; eliminate repetitive manual activities through reusable tooling and self-service workflows.
Build and maintain Linux and Windows container images using Dockerfiles, multi-stage builds, secure base images, image tagging, vulnerability scanning, and controlled publication to container registries.
Deploy and support workloads on Kubernetes; configure Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, resource requests and limits, health probes, namespaces, and workload right-sizing.
Integrate static analysis, unit testing, coverage, dependency scanning, and other verification tools into CI/CD pipelines; enforce quality thresholds and provide actionable feedback to development teams.
Implement monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerts using platforms such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Nagios, or Grafana; use telemetry to detect failures, analyze trends, and improve platform reliability.
Troubleshoot complex failures across source control, runners/agents, build tools, dependencies, containers, networks, credentials, operating systems, and deployment environments; lead root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
Maintain accurate technical documentation, operational runbooks, architecture diagrams, onboarding instructions, and support procedures; share knowledge and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.
Apply secure engineering practices for credentials, tokens, secrets, access control, dependency management, auditability, least privilege, and vulnerability remediation across delivery workflows.
Collaborate with development, verification, cybersecurity, SRE, infrastructure, and project teams to clarify ownership, define integration requirements, and deliver scalable platform capabilities.
