We’re looking for a Senior Web App Developer (Full-Stack) – Mobile-First Payments to help a leading U.S. multifamily residential company replace its vendor parking app with a product built in-house. You’ll build the resident and site-team experience on top of the existing Parking API, move every community off the old platform, and work side by side with the client’s Product, design and operations teams. The goal isn’t just to launch a new app. It’s to own it in production and make it work better than the one it replaces.
What you will do:
Product & UI Engineering
Build the resident and site-team parking experience (search, reserve, assign, pay and manage) in React and TypeScript, mobile-first
Map each existing vendor flow and work with Product and design to decide what to keep, fix or drop
Deliver screens that meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and the security standards for payment and vehicle data
API & Backend Development
Connect the UI to the existing Parking API using its OpenAPI contract
Design and build missing REST endpoints with TypeScript, AWS Lambda and PostgreSQL
Migration & Rollout
Plan and carry out the move off the vendor platform, running both UIs in parallel
Migrate data and roll out community by community, using feature flags and a clear rollback path
Quality & Production Ownership
Write unit, component and end-to-end (Playwright) tests for the money and reservation flows
Monitor logs and alarms, fix defects, and resolve site-team issues end to end
Use AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) as part of your daily workflow
Tools & Technologies:
Platforms & Infrastructure: React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, OpenAPI (generated clients), Playwright / Cypress, Figma (design system work is a plus)
Security & DevSecOps: WCAG 2.1 AA, secure handling of payment and vehicle data, PCI-scoped UIs (a plus), OAuth / AWS Cognito, logging and alarm monitoring, feature flags
Cloud & IaC: AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, AWS CDK (a plus), CI/CD with GitHub Actions (a plus)
What you bring: Experience:
Experience: 5+ years building production web apps, including 3+ years with React and TypeScript. You’ve shipped a mobile-first, customer-facing app that handles bookings, payments or similar transactions.
Full-Stack & Cloud: You’re comfortable writing REST endpoints and SQL queries, and you have hands-on experience with AWS serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito or a similar OAuth setup).
Migration Expertise: You’ve replaced or migrated a live system with no downtime, using feature flags, phased rollouts or parallel runs.
Consulting / Leadership: You communicate clearly and work well with Product, design and non-technical operations users, and you’re comfortable guiding decisions about what to keep, fix or drop.
Mindset: You take ownership, build tests into your work, enjoy an AI-assisted workflow, and stay accountable for what you ship in production.
Nice to have: Background in parking, mobility, property…
