We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our multicultural DevOps team. You will help run and evolve the cloud platform that dozens of R&D microservice teams build and run on, spanning multiple cloud accounts and Kubernetes clusters, GitOps-driven delivery, and observability across several platforms. Development and DevOps work as one engineering team at Bitsight: there are no silos, and we deliver business value together.
The ideal candidate is curious, takes ownership of the work they pick up, communicates clearly in writing across distributed teams, and learns quickly from the engineers around them. You will work alongside senior engineers who will mentor you, and this role offers a clear path to Senior DevOps Engineer.
Responsibilities:
As a DevOps Engineer, you'll work with the DevOps team and the development teams we support.
Infrastructure & Security: Help operate and improve the reliability, security, and cost of our multi-account cloud and Kubernetes environments.
Delivery & Platform: Build and maintain GitOps delivery, CI/CD pipelines, and self-service capabilities for development teams.
Reliability & Observability: Maintain dashboards, alerts, and SLOs, take part in on-call, and contribute to incident response and postmortems.
Automation: Write infrastructure as code and Python tooling that removes manual work for the team.
AI: Use AI tools to speed up infrastructure and operations work, and validate their output before it reaches production.
Collaboration: Partner with development teams, ask questions early, and share what you learn with the team.
Requirements:
1+ year of hands-on experience in DevOps / SRE / platform engineering, ideally in a SaaS environment
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deploying and troubleshooting workloads
Working experience with AWS, including IAM and managed Kubernetes (EKS)
Good understanding of cloud networking basics: VPC, DNS, load balancing, and security groups
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform; Crossplane is a plus)
Experience with GitOps and continuous delivery, including packaging Kubernetes deployments (e.g., ArgoCD, Helm)
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI)
Familiarity with observability for distributed systems (metrics, logs, traces)
Solid Linux and scripting skills, and Python development experience
Willingness to take part in on-call and to troubleshoot production issues, with guidance from senior engineers
Practical experience using AI tools in day-to-day engineering work, and awareness that their output needs to be validated
Ability to take a defined task, break it into steps, and deliver it
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Advantage - experience with:
AI-assisted code review, test generation, and pipeline automation
Microservice-based architecture
Internal developer platforms
