Our client is seeking an experienced Operating Engineer, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.
What you'll be doing…
Operate building systems via BAS and FAS, including Chiller plant operations.
Perform electrical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of base building and critical system machinery and equipment.
Respond to and complete work orders as needed, assisting with daily operations of the building.
Conduct preventative maintenance tasks with minimal disruption to services, delegating them as necessary.
Manage repair and installation of new equipment and facilities, maintaining inventory.
Comply with safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, ensuring a clean and safe workplace.
Prepare and submit periodic checks for supplies.
Order parts and equipment required for operations.
Complete monthly assigned safety training.
Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.
The right person has…
Minimum of a high school diploma and two years of trade schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.
Four years of experience in facility/plant engineering maintenance.
Experience as a journeyman engineer with strong skills related to building automation systems, life safety systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Exposure to HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, welding, and electrical systems engineering and operation.
Proficiency in basic computer application software such as MS Office and E-mail.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and outside contractors, architects, and engineers.
Boilers license preferred and Universal HVAC License.
