Lead QA Engineer for Cloud Platform Engineering team that builds backend integration hub for enterprise apps. Hands-on leadership focused on API automation, event-driven systems, and cloud-based QA in Agile.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead QA automation for backend and integration services.
Build and maintain frameworks using Java, Cucumber, and Karate for REST, gRPC, and Kafka-based systems.
Perform performance testing with Gatling and troubleshoot using Datadog and Splunk.
Coordinate QA support for production deployments during U.S. hours.
Work within AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch) and ensure strong API and database test coverage.
Mentor offshore QA resources and continuously identify automation opportunities.
Qualifications:
10+ years of QA experience, with 2-3 years in a lead role.
Strong Java programming and API automation background.
Experience with SQL, Kafka, Gatling, and observability tools (Datadog, Splunk).
Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch).
Agile/Scrum environment experience.
Excellent communication and leadership skills across global teams.
