Computing Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the West Midlands
Are you an experienced computing or digital professional ready to share your expertise with the next generation?
About the Role
We are working with a further education provider in the West Midlands who is looking for a Computing Lecturer to join their team, with the role starting from 12 November 2026.
You'll deliver theory and practical sessions across computing and digital programmes, helping learners build the skills, knowledge and confidence the technology sector expects.
If you come from industry rather than teaching, that is welcome. Our client can offer the support you'll need to develop as an educator, so a strong computing background matters more than prior classroom experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering engaging computing lessons across a range of programmes.
Assessing learners' work and providing constructive feedback to support their progress.
Contributing to curriculum development so content reflects current industry practice.
Supporting students to achieve their qualifications and prepare for employment or further study.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
A Level 3 qualification or higher in computing or a related discipline
Strong occupational knowledge and experience within computing or the wider digital sector
A genuine interest in supporting learners to succeed
Desirable (but not essential):
A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
Previous experience of teaching or assessing in a further education setting
If you're ready to turn your industry experience into a rewarding teaching role, we'd love to hear from you.
