Electrical Installation Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the West Midlands
Are you an experienced electrician ready to inspire the next generation of electrical professionals?
About the Role
We are working with a further education provider in the West Midlands who is looking for an Electrical Installation Lecturer to join their team, with the role starting from 16 November 2026.
You'll deliver theory and practical sessions across electrical installation programmes, helping learners build the skills, knowledge and confidence the industry expects.
If you come from industry rather than teaching, that is welcome. Our client can offer the support you'll need to develop as an educator, so a strong electrical background matters more than prior classroom experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering electrical installation lessons across classroom and workshop settings.
Assessing learners' work and providing constructive feedback to support their progress.
Supporting students to achieve their qualifications and prepare for employment or further study.
Maintaining a safe and effective workshop environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
A Level 3 qualification in electrical installation or equivalent
Strong industry experience in the electrical industry
Desirable (but not essential):
A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
Previous experience of teaching, training or mentoring
If you're ready to pass your trade knowledge on to the next generation, we'd love to hear from you.
