Forklift Operator / Material Handler
Pay: $21.00 – $23.00 / hour
Job Type: Full-Time | Temporary (2–3 Weeks)
CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS — MUST HAVE:
To be considered for this position, applicants MUST meet the following credentials:
Active Forklift Certification: MUST possess a valid, active Forklift Operator Certification (Required).
Recent Forklift Experience: MUST have at least 1 year of hands-on Forklift Operator experience within the last 2 years (Required).
What You Will Be Working On
As a Forklift Operator and Material Handler, you will be essential to our high-priority warehouse operations during this project:
Equipment & Forklift Operation: Safely drive fork trucks and operate overhead cranes through the plant to transport raw materials, skids, and finished goods to designated packaging and processing areas.
Shipping, Receiving & Dock Operations: Unload delivery trucks, stage materials according to bills-of-lading, conduct dock audits, and coordinate with shipping carriers.
Inventory & Quality Control: Perform daily cycle counts, verify stock tags, check material gauges using micrometers, and accurately enter inventory data into our computer system.
Order Fulfillment: Safely pick, pack, and prepare custom metal shipments according to exact customer specifications and delivery schedules.
What Can Help You Be Successful
Technical & Precision Skills: Comfort using measuring tools (micrometers/tape measures), conducting basic math calculations, and using computer software for data entry.
Safety First Mindset: Strong attention to safety protocols when operating heavy machinery and handling materials in an active plant environment.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, twist, and lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs (lifting assistance equipment provided).
Immediate Availability: Ability to start right away and commit to the full 2–3 week schedule.
Educational Background: High School Diploma or equivalent.
