Job Description
Your contribution
At Raymarine, we create marine electronics that help people navigate, monitor and operate vessels safely and effectively on the water. Our products are trusted by recreational boaters, commercial operators and first responders around the world.
As a Software Engineer, you will help develop software across our product portfolio, with a primary focus on our chartplotters. These products bring together navigation, charting, SONAR, RADAR, cameras and vessel information into a single, intuitive user experience.
Working within a collaborative Agile team, you will contribute throughout the software lifecycle, from design and development through to testing, release and ongoing improvement. You will work closely with software engineers, test engineers, product managers and user experience specialists to deliver reliable, high-quality products.
We are looking for engineers who enjoy contributing beyond feature development. Software design, testing, quality, security and continuous improvement are all important parts of the role. Success in this position requires curiosity, adaptability and a willingness to work across a broad range of technologies and problem domains. While C++ and Qt form the core of this role, there may also be opportunities to work with technologies such as Python depending on project needs. Raymarine actively encourages the responsible use of artificial intelligence tools to improve productivity, learning, software quality and engineering efficiency.
While the role is primarily focused on chartplotters, there will be opportunities to contribute across other Raymarine product lines and broaden your skills through activities such as Scrum Mastering, mentoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
You'll be part of a team that takes ownership of the complete software lifecycle, from initial design through to release, maintenance and continuous improvement.
