Scala Developer – Active SC Clearance £605 per day – Inside IR35 Remote – Must be UK based 6 Months We are currently seeking an experienced Scala Developer to join a high-profile Government programme supporting critical work across the Government Gateway and Fraud Prevention Centre.

Working within a live services and run team, you will help deliver enhancements, support production systems, and build scalable microservices in a collaborative Agile environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and enhance Scala-based microservices, typically using the Play FrameworkBuild high-quality backend services and APIs following modern engineering best practicesCollaborate closely with developers, testers, product owners and wider Agile delivery teamsWrite clean, maintainable and thoroughly tested codeSupport production services throughout the software lifecycle, troubleshooting and resolving issues where requiredContribute to continuous improvement and Agile delivery practices Essential Skills & ExperienceStrong commercial experience developing applications using ScalaSolid understanding of functional programming principles and patternsExperience building and supporting microservices architecturesProven experience working within Agile delivery environmentsStrong focus on code quality, testing and best practice development standardsActive SC Clearance is required
