When the day crew heads home, the mission keeps moving. That’s when you take the floor.
It’s 2:30 PM at our Colorado facility. The day shift hands off a machined assembly bound for a hypersonic defense system, one that will someday fly at more than five times the speed of sound with no second attempt once it leaves the ground. The questions are waiting: Does the drawing match the process plan? Has the nonconformance been traced to its root cause? Is the first article truly ready?
By the time the sun is down, the answers are yours to give. You’re the Quality Engineer who makes sure it’s right, long after most of the world has clocked out.
Your greatest work is ahead
