Position Overview
Loyal Source is seeking an experienced Security Installation Technician to join our growing team in Lenexa, Kansas . This role is ideal for a skilled low-voltage professional with 3+ years of hands-on experience installing and servicing electronic security systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and related low-voltage systems for customers throughout the region. Projects are located within a two-hour radius of Lenexa, KS , requiring regular local travel to customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
Install, program, and service electronic security systems, including:
Access Control Systems
CCTV/Video Surveillance Systems
Card Reader Systems
Intrusion Detection Systems
Related Low-Voltage Systems
Run, route, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling.
Mount and install security devices, panels, cameras, readers, and associated equipment.
Conduct system testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Ensure all installations meet customer requirements, manufacturer specifications, and industry standards.
Complete service reports, project documentation, and installation records accurately.
Coordinate effectively with project managers, customers, and other field personnel.
Follow all company safety policies and job-site procedures.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of experience installing and servicing access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, or other electronic security systems.
Strong knowledge of low-voltage wiring methods and industry best practices.
Must have a background working with DMP, Brivo
Experience terminating and testing low-voltage cabling.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, and construction documents.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to travel to project sites within a two-hour radius of Lenexa, KS.
Ability to lift and carry equipment and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with enterprise access control platforms such as LenelS2, Software House, Avigilon, Genetec, or similar systems.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Industry certifications in access control, CCTV, or low-voltage systems.
Experience working in commercial, healthcare, education, or government facilities.
