Documents each interview using the approved protocol and keeps a contact log. Brings draft pathways back to employers for review and feedback. Identifies employers willing to join an advisory committee, host work-based learning, or interview graduates.
Analysis and pathway design: Combines interview and job posting data into recurring skill gaps, entry points, and advancement barriers, noting differences between Tahoe, Carson City, and rural employers. Course specifications: Writes a specification for each recommended course using the WNC template, including learning outcomes, contact hours, credential alignment, and the kitchen space and equipment it needs. Sets the build priority for each course. Briefs the curriculum developer on each set of specifications and answers their questions.
Workforce partner engagement: Interviews at least 5 workforce and economic development partners, such as EmployNV, NevadaWorks, NNDA, local chambers, and school district GTE programs. Gathers their information on hiring demand, training gaps, and regional workforce priorities.
Reporting and coordination: Submits quarterly and final reports on schedule. Meets regularly with the Project Director on progress, findings, and decisions. Keeps organized records of interviews, data sources, and contacts for federal grant reporting and records retention. Keeps employer interview information confidential.
