The role will initially be based at our Staverton site before relocating to our Tewkesbury facility at some point in 2027. This is a hands-on role where you'll apply your electronics knowledge, fault-finding abilities and attention to detail to diagnose, repair and test electronic components. Whether you already have practical component-level fault-finding experience or bring strong theoretical electronics knowledge, we're interested in the skills and potential you can bring to the team.
What you'll be doing
Carrying out maintenance, repair and overhaul activities on electronic components and assemblies in line with customer instructions.
Performing electronic testing and fault diagnosis down to component level to identify faults and support effective repairs.
Following detailed engineering drawings, technical instructions and specifications to complete work accurately.
Using appropriate test equipment and procedures to verify component functionality and ensure products meet the required specifications.
Carrying out soldering activities, including through-hole and surface-mount soldering, in line with relevant standards.
Accurately recording test results and maintaining technical documentation.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet deadlines, achieve targets and maintain high standards of quality.
What you'll bring
Experience working within an assembly and test environment.
Practical experience maintaining and repairing hydraulic and electromechanical units and sub-assemblies.
Experience in fault-finding down to board level.
Soldering experience, including through-hole and surface-mount soldering to 711, 610 and J-STD standards.
A relevant apprenticeship or equivalent practical, hands-on experience.
Good attention to detail and the ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
