Establish engineering standards for pipeline development, version control, testing, deployment, and observability. Retire redundant and legacy data infrastructure and ensure platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency against defined SLAs.
Establish a governed semantic layer and certified metric definitions so the business operates from one set of numbers, shift the organization from reactive report production toward self-service analytics, and deliver executive insight on origination volume, pull-through, margin, servicing performance, delinquency, and operational efficiency. Provide technical oversite of a federated reporting program to ensure standardized KPI, metrics and tools
Establish and lead the enterprise data governance program, including data quality, metadata, lineage, master data, and lifecycle management. Ensure data practices comply with mortgage industry regulation and consumer privacy requirements. Define the organizational structure, talent strategy, and role definitions required to execute the data strategy. Recruit senior talent, establish operating discipline and delivery cadence, develop leaders within the organization, and own key data and analytics vendor relationships including contract strategy and performance management
Translate data strategy into measurable business impact and ROI, including revenue capture, margin improvement, loss avoidance, and operational efficiency. Define and report KPIs demonstrating return on Planet’s data investment, advise the executive leadership team on data, analytics, and AI priorities, lead enterprise governance forums, and build consensus across business and technology leaders with competing priorities.
