Windchill AI Infrastructure | Pune, India
Role Overview
We are seeking a technically strong and execution-oriented Principal Technical Product Manager to help define and deliver the next generation of Windchill AI capabilities, including AI Assistants, AI Agents, MCP Servers, semantic models and the underlying AI platform services that power intelligent experiences across the Windchill portfolio.
The primary responsibility of this role is to translate product vision, customer needs, and business objectives into a clear, prioritized, and executable backlog for one or more Agile development teams. Working closely with Product Managers, customers, R&D, architects, UX, Quality Assurance, Technical Publications, Customer Success, and field organizations, the TPM serves as the bridge between product strategy and technical implementation.
Success in this role requires a strong understanding of Windchill, experience with AI-powered solutions such as prompts, skills, agents, and enterprise integrations, and the ability to transform complex business and technical requirements into high-quality capabilities that deliver measurable customer value.
What You Will Do
The responsibilities below represent a superset of the work this role may perform. Actual day-to-day focus will vary based on product priorities, release objectives, customer needs, and organizational initiatives.
Partner with Windchill AI R&D teams to define, prioritize, and maintain executable product backlogs.
Translate customer needs, business objectives, and AI use cases into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans.
Own TPM execution for assigned capabilities through discovery, planning, development, validation, and release.
Define and deliver capabilities for Windchill MCP Servers and Change AI Agents, including AI-assisted Problem Report creation, Problem Report triage and duplicate detection, Change Impact Analysis, and future agent-based solutions.
Work closely with Product Management, customers, architects, and engineering teams to understand workflows and translate requirements into technical solutions.
Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, PI planning, story acceptance, and release readiness activities.
Drive alignment across Product Management, R&D, Architecture, UX, QA, Technical Publications, Customer Success, and field organizations.
Facilitate discovery workshops, technical investigations, and design spikes to validate requirements and solution approaches.
Partner with QA to define expected behavior, review test coverage, and validate delivered functionality.
Collaborate with Technical Publications to ensure capabilities and workflows are effectively documented.
Support customer engagements, field enablement, and release communications by explaining functionality, gathering feedback, and incorporating insights into future priorities.
Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities early, balancing immediate delivery needs with longer-term product strategy.
Continuously strengthen expertise in Windchill, AI technologies, agent architectures, MCP integrations, prompt design, and product management practices.
Growth Opportunities
As experience and organizational responsibilities expand, the TPM will evolve from team-level backlog ownership into broader technical and strategic leadership across the Windchill AI portfolio.
