This role applies technical expertise in SCADA software, relay programming, power plant controller (PPC) integration, communication protocols, industrial networking, and cybersecurity principles to deliver reliable and efficient control system solutions. Working closely with engineering, field operations, and project teams, you will support successful project execution by ensuring SCADA systems are designed, tested, and implemented in accordance with project requirements, industry standards, and Rosendin's commitment to safety and quality.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Design, develop, and implement SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems for EPC projects, including solar PV, battery energy storage systems, high-voltage substations, and other utility-scale electrical infrastructure.
Program, configure, and commission SCADA software applications, human-machine interfaces (HMI), and control logic to meet detailed project specifications and operational requirements.
Perform troubleshooting, fault analysis, and system optimization to support reliable SCADA system performance during all project phases.
Support SCADA system testing, factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), point-to-point testing, and site commissioning activities.
Configure, test, and troubleshoot RTUs (e.g., SEL RTAC), data concentrators, power plant controllers (PPCs), meters, and communication equipment, including interfaces to inverter and BESS control systems.
Collaborate with project teams to support system requirements, integration activities, and project execution.
Support interconnection and permitting documentation related to SCADA system approvals, including utility, ISO/RTO, and NERC telemetry, metering, and data link requirements.
Support performance testing, model validation, and NERC compliance testing activities (e.g., PRC and MOD requirements) leading up to Project COD.
Assist in the development of system architectures, network diagrams, points lists, I/O lists, and functional specifications for SCADA and control system integrations.
Perform system testing, validation, quality assurance, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and Rosendin's safety protocols.
Share technical knowledge and support team collaboration with engineers and project personnel.
Prepare and review technical documentation, including design drawings, control narratives, test procedures, and as-built documentation for SCADA installations.
