Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Controller for a growing medical industry client.
This is an onsite opportunity in Denver, Colorado, for an experienced accounting leader to oversee financial operations, reporting, and compliance while supporting the organization’s continued growth.
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Controller will lead the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, and tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
This role oversees the month-end and year-end close, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, manufacturing and cost accounting, and internal controls.
The Controller will also partner with executive leadership and FP&A to support financial planning, business strategy, process improvement, and organizational growth.

Oversee monthly and quarterly financial close and reporting processes, partnering with FP&A to analyze results, investigate variances, and ensure accuracy.
Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and governance practices in alignment with U.
S.
GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Lead revenue recognition under ASC 606, technical accounting matters, manufacturing and cost accounting, inventory reserves, and quarterly compliance reporting.
Manage external audits and tax compliance, serving as the primary liaison with independent accounting and audit partners.
Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, financial modeling, process improvement, and accounting team leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS: Active CPA designation required.
Demonstrated Controller experience within manufacturing, medical device, DME, or a related industry.
Hands-on working knowledge of NetSuite.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and developing accounting department strategy.
Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills; healthcare, revenue cycle, business intelligence, or private equity-backed experience is a plus.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $170,000–$200,000, plus bonus potential.
