Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an Ab Initio Developer with strong experience in software development, technology leadership, solution delivery, and cross-functional collaboration. The role involves applying knowledge of software systems, data structures, database management, cloud infrastructure, software architecture, and Agile delivery practices to support technology initiatives.
The successful candidate will lead and manage cross-functional technology teams, translate business requirements into technology solutions, guide technical implementation, evaluate emerging technologies, and support the delivery of scalable and maintainable data-oriented solutions. The role contributes to business objectives by improving technology delivery, supporting informed technical decisions, increasing operational efficiency, and aligning technology initiatives with organizational strategy.
Software Requirements
Required Software Skills
Ab Initio: Experience developing, maintaining, supporting, or enhancing Ab Initio-based data and software solutions relevant to the assigned Synechron project.
Software systems: In-depth understanding of various technologies, software systems, integrations, dependencies, and development practices.
Project-management tools: Familiarity with tools used for project planning, task management, reporting, collaboration, risk tracking, and delivery governance.
Agile methodologies: Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and iterative software delivery practices.
Software architecture: Understanding of software architecture principles, system design, integration patterns, reusable components, and design patterns.
Cloud computing: Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and infrastructure, including deployment, scalability, availability, security, and operational considerations.
Database management: Knowledge of database management systems, data structures, data processing, data quality, and data integration.
Technical documentation: Ability to prepare technical specifications, architecture documentation, roadmaps, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
Software versions: Experience working with the Ab Initio, database, cloud, project-management, source-control, and development tool versions used by the assigned Synechron project.
Preferred Software Skills
Experience with additional programming languages used in software development, data processing, automation, or integration.
Familiarity with source-control, build, deployment, continuous integration, and continuous delivery tools.
Experience with data integration, data warehousing, data quality, metadata, data lineage, or data governance tools.
Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, infrastructure automation, containers, or distributed systems.
Experience with reporting, dashboarding, monitoring, and operational support tools.
Experience evaluating technology platforms and preparing adoption recommendations.
Equivalent tools and technologies may be considered where they provide comparable capabilities.
Overall Responsibilities
Lead and manage cross-functional technology teams involved in software development, data solutions, and technology initiatives.

Drive technology initiatives and ensure successful delivery of projects within agreed scope, quality, timeline, and resource expectations.
Develop, maintain, support, and enhance Ab Initio-based solutions where applicable to project requirements.
Apply knowledge of software architecture, data structures, database systems, cloud infrastructure, and design patterns to technology solutions.
Identify areas for improvement and implement process changes to increase efficiency, quality, reliability, and delivery transparency.
