Lead a 12-person infrastructure and cloud engineering team, driving day-to-day operations and a large on-prem to cloud migration. Provide technical authority on Azure and guide design decisions for the organization. Operate fully remote with occasional travel to key locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day operations of cloud, network, and infrastructure teams.
Manage engineering teams, conduct one-on-ones, and set priorities.
Oversee large-scale on-prem to cloud data migration projects.
Keep the team aligned and accountable through project management.
Serve as technical authority on Azure, guiding design decisions.
Present well-reasoned infrastructure and cloud recommendations to leadership.
Facilitate engineering design discussions and answer technical questions.
Ensure steady team leadership and maintain high technical credibility.

Qualifications:
Proven people management experience, formally managing engineering teams with direct reports, one-on-ones, performance, and priorities.
Strong Cloud Technical Depth (Azure preferred), able to answer cloud engineers' technical questions and guide design.
Ability to run day-to-day operations and make high-level infrastructure decisions, proactive ownership.
Preferred Skills:
On-prem to cloud migration experience, completed (preferred) or currently in progress
Healthcare experience, familiarity with HIPAA
DevOps fluency to follow in-house application build conversations
Identity and access management experience
General networking and physical infrastructure knowledge
Experience moving self-hosted infrastructure applications to SaaS
Azure or AWS certification (legacy JD asks for one within one year of hire); ITIL v4
Exposure to IaC, CI/CD, containers, and SLA/SLO/KPI management
