Join a sme AgriTech company as a AgriTech Data Scientist in Denver.
Farms generate more data than most people realise: soil sensors, yield maps, satellite imagery, weather feeds.
Turning that into decisions that actually help a grower is a different problem entirely, and it's one this established AgriTech business has spent years getting right.
As a mid-sized, growing SME in the agricultural technology space, they need someone who can work with messy, real-world field data and make it useful.
Here's what you'll be doing: Build and refine predictive models for crop yield, soil health, and pest risk using field and sensor data Clean and structure large datasets pulled from satellite imagery, IoT sensors, and farm management systems Work with agronomists and software engineers to turn model outputs into features growers will actually use Run statistical analysis to validate model performance against real-world outcomes, not just test data Present findings to non-technical stakeholders, including product managers and customer-facing teams Maintain and improve existing data pipelines as new data sources come online Here are the skills you'll need: 2-4 years' experience as a data scientist, ideally with exposure to agricultural, environmental, or geospatial data Strong Python skills (pandas, scikit-learn, and similar) plus solid SQL Experience with remote sensing or time-series data is a genuine advantage Comfortable explaining technical trade-offs to people who aren't technical A degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Curiosity about agriculture itself.
This role rewards people who want to understand the problem, not just the maths Key perks and benefits: Salary of $53,500 to $72,000, depending on experience Fully remote working, with the flexibility to structure your own day Private medical insurance and pension contribution Annual leave plus flexible working arrangements Bonus scheme and genuine room to grow within a company that's still scaling Why pursue a career in AgriTech?
Agriculture is under pressure to produce more with less, and the companies solving that problem are hiring fast.
Denver has become a real hub for this kind of work, sitting close to both the tech talent pool and the farming regions the data actually comes from.
Good data scientists in AgriTech don't stay junior for long.
The problems are real, the stakes are high, and the path upward is there for people who deliver.
This AgriTech Data Scientist opportunity is brought to you by The Opportunity Hub UK.
