Senior Java Software Engineer

The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Software Engineer to develop and maintain high-quality software solutions, including microservices and user interfaces within a complex enterprise environment.
The role is primarily backend-focused, with an emphasis on Java and Spring Boot development. You will contribute to scalable applications, collaborate within an Agile environment and help deliver reliable, business-critical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain Java-based applications and microservices.
Build RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
Develop and maintain database solutions using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
Contribute to automated testing and software quality.
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to deliver incremental business value.
Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis and manage multiple priorities.
Contribute to front-end development where required.
Essential Skills & Experience
6–9 years of software development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot and RESTful services.
Experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
Familiarity with Maven, Jenkins and modern development practices.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and collaboration skills.
Desirable:
Angular or similar front-end frameworks.
Automated testing tools such as Karate, Playwright or similar.
Exposure to AWS, Kubernetes or Kafka.
Experience in financial services, investment management or other complex enterprise platforms.
