Job Summary:
We are seeking a MIG Welder to join a fabrication team in Loretto. This position involves welding mild steel components for bridge and highway railing systems. Candidates will be responsible for producing quality welds, inspecting finished work, and supporting production goals in a fast-paced shop environment. Some forklift driving may be required (training provided).
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform MIG and Flux Core welding on mild steel components • Lay consistent, high-quality weld beads according to specifications • Inspect welds to ensure strength, accuracy, and quality standards are met • Work on structural components for bridge and highway railings • Assist with material handling and occasional forklift operation (training provided) • Maintain a clean and safe work area • Follow all shop safety procedures and PPE requirements
Qualifications:
• Previous MIG welding experience with .045 flux core • Ability to produce clean, consistent welds • Must provide own welding helmet • Steel toe boots required • Ability to read and follow basic work instructions • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Working Conditions:
• Manufacturing environment with exposure to welding equipment and fabrication materials • Standing for most of the shift • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs • Fast-paced production setting
