An exceptional opportunity for a junior Remote Web Developer to shape the future of Offshore Staffing in Aberdeen.
Offshore Staffing runs on systems most people never see.
Rig crew schedules, compliance records, certification tracking, all of it needs software that doesn't fall over when it matters most.
This is an enterprise-scale operation with 250+ staff and decades of presence in Aberdeen's energy sector, and it's looking for a Remote Web Developer to help build the tools that keep offshore workforces moving.
The infrastructure is established.
The problems are real.
Someone needs to write the code.
Here's what you'll be doing: Build and maintain web applications that support offshore workforce logistics and compliance tracking Write clean, tested code across front-end and back-end components within established frameworks Fix bugs reported by internal teams and offshore operations staff, prioritising by impact Collaborate with senior developers and product owners to translate requirements into working features Take part in code reviews, picking up house conventions as you go Document your changes clearly so the next developer (possibly you, in six months) understands why Here are the skills you'll need: Solid grounding in JavaScript or TypeScript, plus a modern framework such as React Working knowledge of REST APIs and basic database concepts Comfortable using Git in a team environment with established workflows Good written communication.
You'll be remote, so clarity matters more than volume Willingness to learn the specifics of offshore and maritime data requirements Methodical approach to debugging.
Guessing isn't a strategy here Key perks and benefits: Salary of £21,000 to £37,000, depending on experience Fully remote working arrangement, no requirement to relocate to Aberdeen Private medical and dental insurance Enhanced pension scheme and performance-based bonuses Structured career development within a large, established organisation Why pursue a career in Offshore Staffing?
Offshore Staffing isn't going anywhere.
Energy companies need reliable crews, and reliable crews need systems that work first time.
Aberdeen remains the UK's hub for this kind of work, which means exposure to large-scale projects and a genuine career path rather than a dead end.
Get good at this, and you'll have skills that travel.
This Remote Web Developer opportunity is brought to you by The Opportunity Hub UK.
