Make your mark as a Dedicated Offshore Developer in the Offshore Staffing sector, based in Calgary.
Offshore staffing has moved well past the days of cheap, unmonitored outsourcing.
Clients now expect dedicated developers who integrate properly with their teams, understand their codebase, and stick around long enough to matter.
This SME has built its reputation on exactly that: an established and growing offshore staffing provider that places skilled developers directly into client projects rather than treating them as interchangeable contractors.
The business sits at 51 to 250 employees, big enough to offer structure and real progression, small enough that you won't disappear into a department.
This Dedicated Offshore Developer role is based in Calgary, working remotely, with defined responsibilities and genuine room to grow into something bigger.
Here's what you'll be doing: Working as an embedded Dedicated Offshore Developer on client-assigned projects, writing clean, maintainable code to agreed specifications Building and maintaining features across the stack, from backend logic to front-end integration, depending on the client's needs Joining daily stand-ups and sprint planning with client teams, reporting progress clearly and flagging blockers early Debugging and resolving issues raised by client stakeholders, often against tight turnaround times Documenting your work properly so client teams can pick things up without needing you to explain everything twice Collaborating with other offshore developers and account managers to keep delivery on schedule Here are the skills you'll need: Solid hands-on development experience, ideally across a couple of languages or frameworks relevant to offshore staffing work Comfort working remotely and independently, without someone standing over your shoulder Clear written and spoken English.
You'll be dealing with client teams directly, so clarity matters more than jargon A methodical approach to debugging.
Guessing isn't good enough when a client is waiting Reasonable familiarity with version control, ticketing systems, and standard agile workflows A genuine interest in long-term client relationships rather than short, transactional gigs Key perks and benefits: Salary of C$25,500 to C$43,000, based on experience Fully remote working, with the flexibility that comes with it Private medical insurance and pension contribution Bonus schemes on top of base pay Annual leave allowance with flexible working built in, plus professional development opportunities as you grow into the Dedicated Offshore Developer role Why pursue a career in Offshore Staffing?
Offshore staffing is no longer a cost-cutting afterthought.
Companies increasingly see dedicated offshore developers as core team members, not backup labour, and that shift is changing what career progression looks like in this space.
Calgary has a growing pool of tech talent and clients who want offshore partners they can actually rely on, which makes this a sensible place to build a career rather than just take a job.
